SUBSTANCE: the armor for the bulletproof vest has successively placed bulletproof unit and felt separated into two layers by fabric of high-modulus fiber impregnated with polymeric binder. The bulletproof unit is made of armor steel with hardness 48-52 HRC. The felt layers have a thickness of 1.5 to 3.0, and the fabric layer is made of high-modulus fiber impregnated with polymeric binder, its thickness makes up 0.2-0.3 of the thickness of the armor steel.
