FIELD: development of means for individual protection of man against firearms and cold steel. SUBSTANCE: proposed armor for protective vest includes layers of cloth made of high-modular fiber and felt arranged in sequence. Felt is divided into two layers by cloth of high-modular fiber impregnated with polymer binder. Inner felt layer has vertical passages on the inside. Ratio of passage width to distance between two nearest passages amounts to 0.5-1.0 and ratio of passage depth to total thickness of felt layer amounts to 0.5-0.8. EFFECT: provision for effective ventilation of space behind armor with achievement of maximum damping properties. 2 dwg
