FIELD: cryptography; building cryptographic systems. SUBSTANCE: key generation process includes simultaneous generation of each bits of original sequence and respective bit of provisional sequence on receiving and sending ends of communication link, respectively, when using binary-character noise-inducing block conveyed over communication channel with errors, encoding of original sequence on receiving end of communication link, separation of check character block from encoded original sequence, its transmission over return communication channel without errors, generation of decoded sequences from provisional sequence, and generation of hashing function of sequence on transmitting end of communication link, transmission of hashing function over direct communication channel without errors to receiving end of communication link, and generation of encryption/decryption key on receiving and sending ends of communication link by hashing original and decoded sequences using generated sequence-hashing function, and erasing of original, provisional, and decoded sequences.
