PROCEDURE MEASURING CONCENTRATION OF OPTICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCES IN SOLUTIONS Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: procedure includes transmission of modulated plane-polarized radiation through examined solution and collection of transmitted radiation by three polaroids-analyzers with photodetectors. In this case first and second polaroids-analyzers are symmetrically developed with reference to plane of plane-polarized radiation coming into solution and third polaroid-analyzer is oriented in same plane of plane-polarized radiation coming into solution. Signals from three photodetectors are amplified in these three channels, detected in synchronism, converted to digital form and processed. Angle of turn of polarization plane is measured by relations which exclude effect of lack of identity of channels and of inaccurate setting of polaroids on final result.
