FIELD: mechanisms for closing and opening windows and doors; automatic door closing. SUBSTANCE: roller movable member is set in motion along axial line of main sliding guide so that roller joined to roller movable member is forced apply pressure to one or other side of slot in working member. The latter is attached on one end to main sliding guide for turn so as to set in motion second sliding guide by means of sliding bar installed for turning on external end of working member. Axial line of main sliding guide and that of slot in working member essentially intersect at constant acute angle. When roller movable member is provided with spring that builds up constant tension in direction from working member point of turn, this spring makes locking device close automatically. Angle may be changed for increasing or decreasing operating speed and forces occurring in the process. EFFECT: provision for stopping and locking door or window in any position. 22 cl, 9 dwg
