FIELD: equipment for timber sawing and woodworking, in particular, ring-sawing machines for length cutting of logs. SUBSTANCE: the machine has a bed frame, sawing mechanism, feeder with a movable table, clamping device and a mechanism for adjusting the sawing sizes with a size fixing arm made in the form of a rack with a movable stop. The fixing arm has at least two movable stops, whose working surfaces are shifted relative each other. The fixing arm is made in the form of a rack-and- ratchet pair provided at least with two catches, whose bearing surfaces are shifted relative each other. The stops are made in the form of bell-cranks installed on a common axle, and are symmetrical relative to the plane passing through the axle in the direction of their bearing surface. The use of the claimed device makes it possible at least to double the accuracy of sawing size setting, reduce the allowances for subsequent machining and thus reduce the loss of timber. EFFECT: enhanced convenience of machine handling, reduced time spent for sawing size setting, and enhanced reliability of size fixing. 4 cl, 3 dwg
