FIELD: technology of glass treatment, lubricants. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to compositions of lubricant-cooling liquids used for optical articles polishing by diamond tool in plants of optical-mechanical industry. Lubricant-cooling composition has water and polyhexamethylene-polyguanidine salt as nitrogen-containing addition in the following ratio of components, wt. -%: polyguanidine salt, 0.1-0.5; water, the balance. Preferable polyhexamethylene-polyguanidine salt is polyhexamethylene-polyguanidine phosphate of the formula [(CH₂)₆NHC(NH•H₃PO₄)NH]_n, where n = 30-50 or polyhexamethylene- polyguanidine aminosulfate of the formula [(CH₂)₆NHC(NH•NH₂SO₃H)NH]_n, where n = 30-50, or benzyl-substituted derivative of polyhexamethylene-polyguani- -dine phosphate of the formula where n = 5-10.
