FIELD: nuclear engineering; producing current of single-size water-solution droplets. SUBSTANCE: method involves pre-tuning of disperser modulation frequency to resonance with capillary vibration frequency of jet, measurement of time intervals between droplets in flow in the course of dispersion, correction of modulation frequency against measurement results so that their deviations from rated values were not in excess of certain permissible value. Rated value of time interval is monitored by measuring repetition frequency of droplets in flow. Time intervals and repetition frequency of droplets in flow are determined by measuring time intervals of electric signals at output of infrared radiation detector whose sensitive surface is irradiated by collimated flux of infrared rays crosswise intersected by solution droplets.
