FIELD: helicopter equipment; estimation of technical state of helicopter rotor system. SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in separation of articulated points of unit on basis of analysis of design and standard documentation; on basis of treatment and analysis of operational statistic data, serviceability of each separated articulated point is subjected to instrumental check for estimation of their state in accordance with the criteria approved; then relationship of total equivalent individual loading of unit components and loading corresponding to standard combination of flight modes is determined and new service life is established taking into account results of instrumental check of articulated points. During operation of helicopter, operating conditions are additionally recorded including flight altitude, air temperature, take-off mass, helicopter CG and mass of external store; repeatability of each recorded operating condition is determined according to duration of selected levels for analysis of effect of each of them on level of individual loading of unit; total equivalent loading on unit components is calculated on basis of available data pertaining to loads acting on components of unit during operation of helicopter of this type under similar operating conditions and modes of flight taking into account components of each recorded flight modes and operating conditions.
