ERROR MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUE FOR TWO-PHASE DISPLACEMENT-ANGLE COMPONENT SOLVER Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: automatic control and computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: rotor of quadrature-output synchro resolver is set at first of N angles distributed over circumference. Rotor setting is made according to readings of phase-to-code converter connected to output sine coil. Conversion error for synchro resolver angle equivalent to 90 electrical degrees at this point is determined. Error is found by comparing code obtained in phase-to-code conversion with that expected to be obtained in absence of resolver errors. Rotor of synchro resolver is set at new of N angles and procedure of determining error in resolver code conversion for this point is resumed. Then errors are given spectral analyses. EFFECT: enhanced measurement accuracy; provision for taking in- service measurements.
