FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: proposed method makes it possible to form concave shaped housing from metal sheet blank of large size. The blank is shaped to required profile by means of shaping device, then special plate is connected with holding of required profile from deviation. Special overlapping plate is connected to one of ends of the blank and then reinforcement member, made to comply with final shape, is connected to the other end of blank and then, after increasing rigidly of longitudinal edges of blank, special machining of zones of maximum curvature is carried out, and grips of shaping means are released.
