FIELD: transport engineering.

SUBSTANCE: suspended single or dual seat made in form of sofa or support for seat of other type and designed for use in passenger vehicles contains two sides with vertical and horizontal branches being connected by means of one cross tie and reinforcing members to form seat body and one support for seat overlapping seat body. Width of seat body is provided by corresponding length of at least one of cross tie and reinforcing members. One of sides is secured only at level of its vertical branch stationary to pillar of carrying structure or to other member of passenger vehicle body at corresponding height over floor to provided cantilever mounting of seat on pillar or on said member of vehicle body.

EFFECT: simple design, low cost, possibility of quick and easy mounting of vehicle seat.
