SEALING COMPOSITION Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: sealing compositions; applicable in sealing welds of boundaries of surfaces of metal-metal, metal-glass, glass-glass, glass- concrete, etc. SUBSTANCE: sealing composition includes low-molecular polyisobutylene with molecular weight of 10000-20000, hydrocarbon oil and finely divided accumulator. The latter contains butyl rubber, synthetic ethylene- propylene copolymer, bitumen and asbestos, filler in form of cement chalk, or talc. Hydrocarbon oil is used in from of neutral mineral oil. Sealing composition contains the following amounts of components, wt.%: polyisobutylene 3-5; butyl rubber 4-8; synthetic ethylene-propylene copolymer 1-3; neutral mineral oil 10.5- 12; bitumen 1.5-4; chalk, cement, talc 67-76.2; asbestos 1-3. EFFECT: higher physical stability of nonsolidified sealant with high water resistance, increased temperature operation interval, reduced fluidity under effect of high temperature. 1 tbl
