METHOD OF OIL POOL DEVELOPMENT Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in development of nonuniform multilayer oil pool. SUBSTANCE: method includes oil withdrawal through producing wells. Horizontal wellbores are drilled from existing wellbores of producing wells into producing formation. Drilling of horizontal wellbores is carried out at distance from existing wellbore of, at least, 200 m. Horizontal wellbore is cased, and casing is perforated in region of producing well. Packers are set between casing string and well bore for separation of water- and oil-bearing formation. Well is operated until water cutting of well production. Packers are set in motion. Casing string is withdrawn. Horizontal well bore is eliminated. New horizontal wellbore is drilled from existing window in existing wellbore at new azimuth angle, and recovery operations are repeated. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
