FIELD: mechanical engineering; pumps. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to axial centrifugal pumps for transferring liquids with gas or vapor inclusions, mainly for pumping liquids in power plants of aircraft. Proposed pump has housing, working chamber arranged in housing, impeller with radial and axial sections provided with blades installed in housing and backward flow damper installed in working chamber before axial section of impeller, and channel for recirculation of handled liquid flow part arranged parallel to working chamber. Inlet hole of recirculation channel is located opposite to initial part of impeller axial section. Outlet hole of recirculation channel is located before backward flow damper in direction of handled liquid flow. Backward flow damper is made in form of cylindrical sleeve with inner central bushing. Sleeve is connected with said bushing by means of longitudinal partitions forming segments to let handled liquid pass. EFFECT: elimination of self-excited cavitation oscillations within wide ranges of liquid flow rates at content of gases in liquid up to 60% or greater, as compared with liquid volume. 9 cl, 9 dwg
