FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has handle 2 and brush part 3. Electric motor 8 is mounted in handle 2. Shaft 20 protrudes from handle 2. Brush part 3 is settable over handle 2. Bristle holder 26 connected to shaft 20 and having bristle 4 is fixable on brush part 3. Bristle holder 26 performs rotation movement 49 and reciprocating movement 50 in working state. Frequency of reciprocating movement 50 is preferentially significantly higher than that of rotating movement 49. The reciprocating movement is raking apart movement performed by bristle 4. This results in taking off deposit from the tooth surface. Rotation movement 49 removes the taken off deposit from the tooth surface. EFFECT: improved tooth cleaning quality. 35 cl, 5 dwg
