FIELD: medical equipment.
SUBSTANCE: electric toothbrush has handle, head, and electric engine. First and second bristle holders with a plurality of bristles are fixed to head. Electric engine is mechanically connected to first and second bristle holders which are positioned for performing vibrating motions relative to longitudinal axis of head or reciprocating motions in direction perpendicular to longitudinal axis of head, or bristles fixed to holders are adapted for moving in direction generally perpendicular to longitudinal axis of head. Immovable bristles are positioned between holders or at maximally remote end of head.
EFFECT: increased tooth cleaning efficiency of toothbrush.
