FIELD: constructions of shaving units of safety razors. SUBSTANCE: shaving member and blade unit of safety razor are designed for removing hairs from skin surface at shaving. Cutting member includes slits with open inlet end arranged in shaving direction and back end spaced from inlet end in shaving direction. Said slits are restricted at both sides by sharpened edges placed at inlet and mutually spaced by distance significantly exceeding diameter of shaved hair and at back end closing together or mutually spaced by distance less than diameter of shaved hair. It is possible to use in blade unit and in safety razor one shaving member or several such members individually or in combination with blade having usual linear sharpened edge. EFFECT: improved design providing effective gradual cutting of hairs at reduced hazard of wounding skin. 17 cl, 8 dwg
