FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to procedures measuring concentration of dispersive systems and can be employed to test and control concentration of ferromagnetic particles in liquid in process of manufacture of articles from ferromagnetic materials in chemical and other branches of industry. Wave H10. is excited in one of arms of hybrid tee located in H plane with triple symmetry. Ferromagnetic liquid is let pass through dielectric vessel along center of hybrid tee normal to its plane. Magnetic field HO, quasi-constant, normal to direction of propagation of wave and value-controlled is applied along axis of vessel. Its value is so changed that angle of turn ϕD of diffraction pattern depending on concentration of ferromagnetic particles in liquid remains constant and secures maximum of output power of one of output arms. Then direction is reversed when values of magnetization field are equal. Maximum of output power of another arm is found. Value of magnetization fields of different directions are averaged and their average value is used to evaluate concentration of ferromagnetic particles in liquid. EFFECT: raised accuracy of measurement of concentration of ferromagnetic particles in liquid. 2 dwg
