FIELD: equipment for cleaning air by removing dust and aerosols out of it due to use of non-uniform electrostatic field. SUBSTANCE: apparatus uses effect of creating by means of non-uniform electrostatic field flux of charged particles so called "ion wind" working like electric filter. Apparatus includes housing in which discharge and settling electrodes of mutually opposite signs are mounted. Deflection electrodes are also mounted in housing. Reflector for positively charged air- borne ions is arranged in front of discharge electrodes; reflector is in the form of electrode electrically connected with discharge electrodes. Apparatus includes one or more bands of porous fibrous material (wick) placed in non-uniform electrostatic field. EFFECT: easy in exploitation apparatus with enhanced efficiency of complex cleaning of air. 1 dwg
