FIELD: shipbuilding; construction and operation of icebreaking ships. SUBSTANCE: proposed ship has hull, superstructure, cutting-and-chipping teeth, aero-heeling system with its control system; cutting-and- chipping teeth are fitted on either side of hull from fore extremity as far as stern is area of waterline. Aero- heeling system includes truss, mounting platform, drives and air screws. Truss is mounted vertically, its axis of symmetry passes through center of mass of hull; at base, truss is rigidly secured to main deck and longitudinal and transverse framing systems. Mounted horizontally at top of truss is mounting platform with drives provided with air screws whose plane of rotation coincides with or is parallel to ship's CL. Control system of aero-heeling system includes the following interconnected components: control console, computer and switchboard which is connected with drive and air screw angle-of-attack control mechanism. EFFECT: enhanced ice possibility through heavy ice fields; reduced power-toweight ratio. 10 dwg
