Mounted in fore extremity is roll whose diameter is equal to ship's free board; this roll extends beyond ship's keel whose sharp wedge-shaped cutting edge is located in vertical longitudinal center plane of ship and axis of rotation is above waterline; hull is provided with strengthened longitudinal framing members. aft portion of ship is high reaching the level of superstructures; aft portion is strengthened and is tight for sea water.
