FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of selective production of ethers from alcohols using liquid acidic catalysts. The flow containing C4-C10-alcohols is fed to reaction zone to obtain product flow consisting of ethers and acidic catalyst. Perfluoroalkanesulfoacid is used as an acidic catalyst. The product flow is extracted with C4-C10-alcohols to obtain the flow consisting of ethers and the flow containing C4-C10-alcohols and an acidic catalyst. Unreacted alcohols and water obtained in reaction zone are fed to distillation zone. Azeotropic flow consisting of alcohol and water is obtained and residual flow is fed to reaction zone. Azeotropic flow is fed to separation zone where alcohol is isolated from an aqueous flow and recirculated to reaction zone. EFFECT: enhanced selectivity of process in synthesis of ethers. 14 cl, 2 dwg, 7 tbl
