FIELD: industrial organic synthesis. SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding C5-hydrocarbon stream into etherification reactor and recycling remaining stream into the same reactor after processing it in isomerization section to convert straight-chain pentenes into reactive isoamylenes. Molecular sieves-based adsorption section is located between etherification reactor and isomerization section to withdraw inert hydrocarbons: basically isopentane and n-pentane. Method provides discharging paraffin stream essentially free of olefins and so allows olefins available to be completely utilized.
