FIELD: oil industry, dewaxing and dehydration of pipes, heating of viscous oil in process of its transportation. SUBSTANCE: device includes electric heater, commutation unit with control circuit for connection of electric heater to electric network, protection unit, unit of adjustment of heating current and emergency warning unit. Device is fitted with control and indication panel, unit of phasing and protection against phase break, sensor of present value of temperature and pressure transducer coming in the form of circuit limiting upper and lower working pressures which is placed on electric heating plant. Protection unit incorporates double level thermal blocking system with primary elements positioned on housing of electric heater. Commutation unit is manufactured in the form of controllable rectifier and its control circuit includes synchronizer, pulse former and pulse amplifier connected in series.
