FIELD: conversion of potential energy of power system water and equalization of thermal power station load. SUBSTANCE: power complex has motor-driven low-head submersible transfer pump or set of motor-driven transfer pumps. Motors are connected to power system of thermal power station. Submersible pumps are mounted on floating pontoon. The latter is held afloat by means of cables and anchors downstream of hydroelectric power station dam. Pipe conduit is laid in dam and emerges to upper level under water upstream of dam; water handled is passed away from dam through desired distance so as to prevent unwanted disturbances on water wheel of hydroelectric power station. Drain end of pipe conduit is elevated above upper level through wave height to reduce hydraulic resistance and is held above water surface by means of floating pontoon and also by set of cables and anchors. Pipe conduit is provided with adjustable sections to ensure desired displacement of suction section and drain end of conduit in case of probable changes in upstream and downstream water levels. EFFECT: enhanced power output and operating reliability of station. 2 cl, 1 dwg
