FIELD: construction engineering; applicable in preparation of structure bases composed of sagging grounds. SUBSTANCE: novelty of proposed method consists in that water-absorbing cavities are made with impermeable walls in upper part and they are connected with head part not communicating with wetting area, and water-absorbing cavities themselves are provided with devices for removal of water from them. In this case, wetting of sagging grounds is carried out by cycles. Within each cycle, after completion of saturation of sagging grounds with water from wetting area and water-absorbing cavities, water supply to wetting area and water-absorbing cavities is discontinued. Water-absorbing cavities are freed of their water by means of devices for water withdrawal, and periodically, using said devices, water filtering from surrounding water-saturated mass of sagging grounds is removed into water-absorbing cavities. If depression surface is lowered down to lower part of sagging ground mass, noted by piesometers, supply of water to wetting area is renewed and constant water level is maintained up to beginning of rise of depression surface detected by piesometers. Then periodic withdrawal of water is ceased from water-absorbing cavities, and supply of water to said cavities is renewed with maintenance of constant water level equaling the level of water on wetting area. Then cycles are repeated up to attaining the day relative stabilization of sagging determined by marks at moments of depression surface location in lower part of sagging ground mass.
