FIELD: domestic equipment. SUBSTANCE: lamp shade has carcass composed of two rings, spacers connected to rings through retainers, and casing. Spacers are made rigid and curved in similar manner so as to form configuration made in the form of broken convex and/or concave line. Casing is formed closed along generatrix configured identically to spacer, with size of casing neck portion being equal to that of respective carcass rings. End parts of spacers are curved at right angles. Unit for retaining spacers in rings has equally spaced radial grooves formed in each ring of carcass and retaining ring, which may be located in carcass ring in gap-free relation. Each end portion of spacer is inserted into respective groove of retaining unit. Each neck of casing is positioned on respective ring of carcass. Retaining ring of retaining unit is joined to spacer end portion. Such construction allows lamp shades of any spatial shape to be manufactured. Lamp shades may be made of floor or suspended type. EFFECT: simplified construction and mounting operation and enhanced reliability in operation. 4 cl, 5 dwg
