FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: protective cover has sheathing designed for transformation into compact pack age, when not in use, and means to provide clearance between inner surface of cover and car surfaces. Combination sheathing has central rigid section for car roof and flexible section connected with rigid section. Sheathing can additionally include four plated rigid sections; for hood, trunk, windshield and backlight. Sections for hood and windshield are located between flexible section and central section at one side of the latter. Sections for trunk and backlight are located between flexible section and central section from its opposite side. Section for windshield is connected with section for hood and with central section. Backlight section is connected with central section and trunk section for relative turning of all rigid sections around horizontal axes square to longitudinal axis of cover.
