SUBSTANCE: macroporous collagen cryogel with interconnected micro- and anisodiametric macropores disposed preferably on peripheral sites across the thickness of material is subjected to consecutive washing, tanning, dyeing, greasing, and drying. Tanning is carried out with mineral tanners or their combinations with vegetable and/or synthetic tanners. Process can by used in shoe industry. EFFECT: increased heat resistance of leather and simultaneously improved heat- and soundproofness thereof. 10 cl, 1 tbl
