FIELD: lumber drying technique. SUBSTANCE: drying kiln has housing with side walls 1, fan 2, heat source, and drying space. Novelty is that kiln is provided with drying space partition that covers cross-sectional area of kiln. Partition may be made as vertically turning barrier 6 locked in position either along side wall 1 of kiln or perpendicular to this wall. Partition is free to move along drying space of kiln, that is along its side walls 1. One kiln can is capable of drying piles of different length.
