FIELD: optoelectronics. SUBSTANCE: procedure includes detection of direct robust radiation of the Sun, its conversion to electric signal, measurement of parameters of electric signal, recording of measurement results. In addition selective extraction of UVB component of solar radiation with wave length 320 nm and under and suppression of background UVA radiation and infrared radiation are carried out. Facility for realization of procedure has input optical unit, former of converted electric signal, analog-to-digital converter, liquid-crystal display and former of operating voltage which are properly connected. Input optical unit has optical window-photoconverter made from crystal of natural diamond with optically active center which presents uncompensated A defect. Two identical photosensitive lands with ohmic electrodes are formed on crystal surface, cut- off optical filter is located above one of lands.
