FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method may be used in dressing dry diamond-containing materials, for example, primary preparation concentrates. Separated material is conveyed subjected to tribo charging by friction and electromagnetic radiation flow with wavelength sufficient for initiation of photo effect in useful component. Electric charges of minerals are measured by contactless method. Measured values are compared with preset separation threshold. Detected grain of useful component is deflected into concentrate receiver by means of actuator.
EFFECT: higher separation stability and yield of diamonds.
