FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: method includes minerals transportation in a multilayered flow, radiation treatment with a penetrating radiation, recording radiation flows intensity form the minerals opposite side in a narrow-beam radiation, which cross section is trivially smaller than the mineral dimensions, setting a radiation intensity boundary values for minerals of the highest and the lowest grade practical component classes, recording of pile beams, which intensity do not exceeds defined value range and a quantity of the following similar beams, minerals definition according to defined value characteristics, for which uses ratio of narrow beam radiation passed through the mineral logarithm value to the following similar beams quantity. The intensity of radiation passed through the mineral recorded with a linear multi channel ionisation chamber or wit a half- conductor's detectors matrix. As a given intensity range highest border to be assumed an intensity of passed through practical mineral crystal of the minimal separated coarseness.

EFFECT: separation efficiency increase due too higher extraction, mineral's coarseness separating process class widening.
