FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves producing a series of positive shadow projections of layer under investigation by means of X-ray irradiation of an object under various angles, transforming projection data into digital signals and inputting them into computer, recovering image of the layer under investigation by means of computer using inverse projection method including shadow projection scaling, building inverse projections from the shadow projections spread over the image plane represented in computer as a set of memory cells, sequentially summing the digital signals from the inverse projections according to corresponding algorithm, recording the result of addition into a selected memory cell and displaying tomogram on monitor screen. Signal mean value is additionally determined for each image and the corresponding adjustment coefficient Ki to norm each signal before forming inverse projections from the set of signals making up the second the following shadow projections. Signal mean value is excluded from the signal value determined for the first shadow projection recorded in all memory cells before displaying the tomogram on the monitor screen. EFFECT: reduced computation volume; enabled express tomography examination. 6 dwg
