FIELD: automatic monitoring and control of processes for making ethylene base vinyl acetate, possibly in chemical and oil-chemical industry branches. SUBSTANCE: method is realized with use of equipment including meters of flowrates of fresh water and return acetic acid, oxygen and circulation gas supplied to unit for preparing mixture, flowrate of acetic acid from unit for preparing mixture, meters of consumption of circulation gas and vapor-gas mixture for analysis, ethylene consumption for making up circulation gas, for torch of carbon dioxide and circulation gas; devices for analysis measuring content of oxygen, ethylene and carbon dioxide in circulation gas, content of oxygen in vapor-gas mixture, pickups detecting temperature and pressure of vapor-gas mixture at inlet of reactor, temperature and pressure of cooling agent in vapor collector and also temperature and pressure of synthesis products at outlet of reactor. Information from all those meters, pickups and analysis devices is fed to inlets of unit for controlling and monitoring in which according to preset algorithm are calculated: controlled factors of process for synthesis of vinyl acetate, coefficients of mathematical model of process and tasks for respective regulators.
