FIELD: polymer production. SUBSTANCE: method, in particular, is designed for qualitatively controlling average-viscosity molecular weight and polydispersion. When carrying out process, one measures concentration of polymer in polymerization reactor, medium temperature, pressure gradients in two different- diameter sections of connected-in-parallel process pipelines, medium density in pipelines, and flows in each section, after which information obtained is processed using following formulas: where Mv is average-viscosity molecular weight, Kp polydispersion coefficient, Q1, Q2 medium flows in the first and second pipeline sections, ΔP1, ΔP2 pressure gradients in the first and second pipeline sections, L1, L2 of the first and second pipeline sections, R1, R2 radii of the first and second pipeline sections, Rcur current pipeline radius, Rcon constructional pipeline radius, ρ density of polymer, ρm density of medium, ρpi density of medium in linear pipeline section, Cp concentration of polymer in reactor, T medium temperature, and R absolute gas constant.
