FIELD: electrodeposition, primarily, in automotive industry. SUBSTANCE: proposed process of deposition of coat includes dipping of substrate into bath containing lacquer material on aqueous base for electrodeposition. Polyalkyleneoxide compounds with solubility of more than 50 parts of mass per 10 part of water at temperature of 25 C are added into bath to reduce foam formation. Polyalkylenglycols with number of atoms of carbon in alkyleneoxide fragments from two to four are used as polyalkylenoxide compounds. Especially good results are obtained by employment of compound with general formula R1-O-(CH2CH2O)n-R2, where R1 is line or branching alkyl residue or alkenyl residue with number of atoms of carbon from 8 to 16; R2 is alkyl residue with number of atoms of carbon from 4 to 7; n is number from 7 to 30.
