FIELD: designing and building of motor roads, particularly, trunk highways; applicable in designing of location of infrastructure objects in building of new and reconstruction of existing trunk highways. SUBSTANCE: method includes laying out the line of route with determination of relief and average values of its elevations and with separation of sections whose values deviate from average values by at least 20%. Separated sections are designed for location of infrastructure objects of truck highway. EFFECT: reduced traffic accidents in operation of trunk highways due to reduced average traveling speed. 2 dwg
