FIELD: pulse engineering; generators with storage-discharge capacitor circuit; accelerating neutron tube supplies. SUBSTANCE: generator has controlled discharge switches 1 built around transistors, each incorporating series- connected limiting resistor 2, storage capacitor 3, and isolating diode 4; additional resistors 5 inserted between base of each transistor and common bus; power supply 6; control pulse source 7; isolating capacitor 8 inserted between base of each transistor except for first one and common bus; voltage regulator diode inserted between collector and emitter of each transistor of controlled discharge switches 1. Maximum voltage across first controlled discharge switch 1 does not exceed voltage Ep across power supply 6. Maximum voltage across remaining controlled discharge switches 1 is applied immediately in response to opening of controlled discharge switch 1 when control pulse arrives. Reversible avalanche breakdown of transistor probable in this case speeds up transfer of all transistors of controlled discharge switches 1 to conductive state thereby enabling generation of steep leading edge of high-voltage output pulse. Maximum voltage across cut-off transistors of controlled discharge switches 1 does not exceed voltage across power supply 6. EFFECT: reduced size and loss; ability of producing high-voltage output pulses with steep leading edge. 2 cl, 1 dwg
