FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting crown wall and taking it off from the tooth. To do it, pulsating laser radiation is transformed into convergent laser beam having power density in the focal point enough for achieving crown material ablation. Pulsating laser radiation of wavelength not less than 1900 A^°, impulse duration not greater than 1 ms and pause between the pulses not longer than 1 s. Crown wall perforation is carried out by sequentially moving beam focus over the crown surface at a speed enabling the perforated areas to form a through incision in it. Device has laser, means for delivering laser radiation and manual instrument having objective, transforming the laser radiation into convergent beam. Manual instrument casing has rest member.
