FIELD: treatment of sewage; cleaning of domestic and industrial sewage at deep oxidation of ammonium salts. SUBSTANCE: biological cleaning is performed in plant divided into four alternating anaerobic and aerobic zones. Starting sewage is directed to first and third zones at relationship of 60 % and 40 %; return activated sludge is recirculated after settling to first and third zones: 100 % and 100 % of volume of sewage delivered for cleaning. Method provides for cleaning sewage from nitrogen of ammonium salts practically to zero, increase of oxidation power of system by 2.6 times and increased of specific rate oxidation of organic contaminants by 1.7 times.
