FIELD: oil processing. SUBSTANCE: invention elates to a method of production of heavy petroleum fuel designated for use in marine or boiler units. Method of production of marine or boiler fuel is carried out by viscosity breaking of a mixture of mazut with asphalt, isolation of creaking-residue in the range of boiling out point 360 C-KK that is mixed then with 1-5 wt.% of extract of selective oil treatment up to 10 wt.% of heavy gas oil of catalytic creaking, 2 wt.% of residual component of deasphaltization of oils with propane and 0.5-2.5 wt.% of slop wax. Mixture of mazut with asphalt is prepared by atmosphere petroleum distillation, 90 wt.% of prepared mazut is fed to vacuum distillation to obtain asphalt which is mixed then with 10 wt.% of remained mazut. EFFECT: expanded assortment of fuels, qualified utilization of residual components of oil-processing plants. 2 cl, 2 tbl
