FIELD: spacecraft; new generations of interplanetary spacecraft. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to creation of thrust owing to superpower interactions with vacuum field. According to proposed method thrust is created in vacuum owing to re-distribution of quantum density of vacuum field in working medium in direction opposite to thrust vector as a result of deformation of vacuum field by acting onto working medium by system of rotating non-uniform electric and magnetic crossed fields with field strength gradient coinciding with direction of thrust vector specifying simultaneously electric and magnetic properties of working medium. Field engine of first design version has electric generator, voltage converter and vacuum field activators including electric motor, rotor made in form of working body of dielectric and ferromagnetic material in form of truncated cone whose base axially coincides with rotor of electric motor, mainly hydraulic motor, and magnetic system of different polarity electrodes enclosing working body cone with clearance. Field engine of second design version has field engine housing which serves also as spacecraft hull and also vacuum field activators, ring electric generators, storage battery, battery current converter, field engine thrust control system, and electric motors for driving vacuum field activator rotors.
