FIELD: shipbuilding submarine ships in particular. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is intended for operation of submarine in submerged position with obstacles under poor visibility conditions. Proposed method consists in visual inspection of area in front of submarine and illumination of this area by means of jet of superheated steam-and-gas mixture delivered from force module-robot of submarine. In and emergency, module-robot is instantly detachable from submarine. EFFECT: enhanced safety of navigation under poor visibility conditions and presence of obstacles under water; extended functional capabilities of submarine ships. 4 dwg
