FIELD: building industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to concrete additions used for the improvement of concrete properties, among them concrete based on Portland cement clinker. The regulating addition for concrete comprising calcium chloride an aqueous solution has additionally calcium saccharate in the mass ratio of calcium saccharate to calcium chloride = (0.2-40): 100 being it comprises the indicated components as a chelate compound. The addition can comprise additionally sugar taken in the amount no exceeding 10% of addition mass. The indicated addition is prepared for two stages: at the first stage calcium saccharate is prepared by interaction of calcium hydroxide with sugar; at the second stage calcium saccharate is added to calcium chloride an aqueous solution and indicated components are stirred. Method provides acceleration of setting and hardening of concrete at the wide range of temperatures including negative ones, the enhanced strength of concrete, prevention of corrosion of metallic fittings, decreased time of heat treatment and increase of output of concrete articles.
