FIELD: manufacture of building materials.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of active concrete mix additives used for improving properties of Portland cement clinker-based concretes. Additive containing calcium chloride (25-35%), calcium saccharate (0.1-1.0%), calcium hydroxide (0.1-1.0%), and water is supplemented by up to 0.5% sodium nitrite. In a method of preparing such additive comprising preparation of calcium saccharate by reacting aqueous calcium hydroxide solution with sugar syrup followed by mixing resulting calcium saccharate with calcium chloride solution, initial calcium chloride solution is alkalized with calcium hydroxide to pH no lower than 8. In this case, 20 to 50% of projected amount of calcium hydroxide is used to treat initial calcium chloride and the rest is used in the calcium saccharate preparation stage.
EFFECT: accelerated concrete strength development in the initial setting phase within a wide temperature range, reduced corrosive activity of additive, and prolonged its shelf time.
