FIELD: metallurgy; applicable in gas blast cupolas with refractory nozzle used in foundry. SUBSTANCE: refractory nozzle includes high-alumina and fireclay refractories, broken electrode material and natural mineral shungite with the following ratio of components, vol.%: high-alumina refractory, 25-35; fireclay refractory, 25-35; broken electrode material, 15-25; shungite, 15-25. Shungite is introduced into nozzle in the form of pieces with ratio of diameters of shungite pieces and pieces of main bodies equaling 0.3-0.5. Use of refractory nozzle ensures production of pig iron with high content of carbon with high temperature. Pig iron cost is reduced by 1.2-1.3 times due to use of low-cost shungite. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg, 1 tbl
