REAMER OF HORIZONTAL HOLES Russian patent published in 2002 - IPC

FIELD: mining, particularly, devices for reaming of horizontal or slightly inclined holes in laying of underground trenchless service lines. SUBSTANCE: reamer consists of external pipe string; section of auger drill string located inside cylindrical receiving trough with loading windows and cutting members located on end face of receiving trough from side of external pipe string; auger drilling tool provided with splined shaft coaxial to drilling tool. Receiving trough is connected with external pipe string by means of sub made in the form of two cylindrical units. From opposite side, receiving trough has generator of impact pulses interconnected by means of cylindrical and rod-shaped units. Cylindrical unit is rigidly connected to end face of cylindrical receiving trough which in addition is connected to rear hanging-over part of generator of impact pulses with the help of flexible braces. Cutting members are located on trough end face arbitrary but at least one cutting member is secured above each loading window. EFFECT: higher speed of reaming process, reliability of pipe motion, increased diameter and depth of holes. 6 dwg
