FIELD: technique of lumber drying; applicable in woodworking and other industries. SUBSTANCE: prior to heating airtight chamber is evacuated and heated to temperature of 90-96 C with supply of superheated steam to chamber. Evacuation is carried out by exponential law for 10-12 min up to residual pressure of 10-15 kPa with subsequent holding for 20-25 min. EFFECT: higher quality of dried lumber. 1 cl, 1 dwg
